The leaders of the United States and the Soviet Union stalemate in the political and military confrontation because the Soviet Union installed nuclear weapons in Cuba in October 1962, just 90 miles from the United States. Reason for that is because the United States feels a threat to national security, Because the location of nuclear missiles is very close to the United States, once the explosion occurs, the United States will have huge destruction, Some Americans, fearing their country was on the brink of nuclear war, they hoarded food and gas.
