7. How did the arms race affect national security concerns in Europe and Asia?
. No,they shouldn’t.first of all, They need to spend a lot of money to invested in nuclear weapons and technology,it will seriously affect national economy, secondly, nuclear weapons are very destructive to land and people, so United States and USSR would only be used in big wars a few times. For example, during the cold war, these two countries knew the importance of this war and there will be no more wars in the next few years. Then they used a big amount of nuclear weapons and technology, also spent huge capital and land at the same time. But this is also understandable, because there was really no better option to replace nuclear weapons at the time, which can really protect themselves.
. Stalin was more focused on industry and Mao on agriculture.
. The United States, was happy to see split between the two communist superpowers, because the two main hostile nations will not cooperate then he will be able to take power more easily .
.The United States does not want South Korea to be independent and reunified, otherwise there will be no American interest. South Korea has the help of the United States, North Korea has the help of China, and both sides want to occupy the Korean Peninsula. what’s more ,the North and South Korea regimes have not joined the United Nations, are not a member of the UN.
. UN should stopped at the 38 parallel, going pass the 38 parallel forced the Chinese army to be involved and helped North Korea join to the war, just because China’s accession led to the defeat of the United States and suffered heavy casualties.
. No, a battle by proxy looked like a civil war, where competing interests within a country or sometimes between neighboring countries were fighting for control of the government. For example, korean waris both sides north korea and south korea were control by two superpower to fight for control of a territory. This is not a reasonable way to stop World War II, the powerful countries will still fight for their interests.
.The United states and soviet union made many of nuclear weapons , each side want to chief nuclear domination over the other. When soviet union mad the first atomic bomb, they shocked the western world, This great progress has attracted global attention.Such as to help discourage Soviet communist expansion, the United States made a lot of atomic weapons.
